You Capture- Joy!!

There is a great photography carnival called You Capture and this week the theme is joy!! These photos are not great techinically, but capture how much sweet little bit loves swinging and then the last photo is a sweet sister moment. I just sat the girls on the bench and they were cracking each other up!!

My Best Shot

I have found a new photography carnival to join called give me your best shot (of the week) over at Life is Sweet. I am calling this my best shot because Little Bit has NEVER posed for me before until today!! I am posting color and black and white and would love so cc. The black and white conversion is a little gray for me, but I think this photo calles for it. Thoughts?

I Heart Faces- Self Portrait with child

This is a picture I took of me and Little Bit (the subject of 90% of my photography!!) when she was only 10 days old. She is 2 years old now and has gotten WAY too big. This was taken with my old terrible point and shoot and fortunately my hair doesn't look like that anymore, but this is probably one of the better photos I have taken of me and a child together. We Picture This- Daughters

I don't have kids yet, but I LOVE photography and really wanted to participate this month at the great photography blog, We Picture This. I Heart Faces- Amateur Week!!

I am excited for the amateur theme this week!! I got my first slr (Canon Rebel Xsi) for Christmas and shoot all in manual, but still have a lot to learn!!

With all the gorgeous spring sunshine and flowers, comes quite a bit of rain. Here is Little Bit ready to play in the rain in her bright, spring raincoat. Lovin how green the grass is getting too!! I Heart Faces- Sisters and Best Friends

In case anyone can't tell by now, I am not above posing kids for pictures, but I MUCH prefer candid pictures that show genuine interaction between people. All I did was sit the girls on the bench and they were cracking each other up!!

The theme for this week at I Heart Faces is "My Friend and I." The girls are truly sisters and friends. Also, the little one is clutching her "lambie" and "oggie" (doggie) that she cannot sleep without and are her sweet friends that give her comfort.

Bokeh!!

So I love bokeh, but unfortunately as of right now am working with just my 18-55 kit lens and a 70-300 zoom lens. Sadly, neither are known for producing the great bokeh. However, I took some shots the other day with my 18-55 and was very pleasantly suprised to see some bokeh I liked!! These shots are SOOC (straight out of camera).
